This is a study in how to represent the wing tip vortex that appears when a sub-sonic aircraft wing slices through the air. The airflow off the wing tip spins in a sense such that the air at the vortex' top flows inward toward the wing's center. Viewed from the front (ahead of the wing), it takes on a characteristic ram's horn appearance with the horn's point touching the wing tip.
